Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Kubernetes & Hybrid Infrastructure)
Spoiler: Your next challenge in serious decentralized tech starts right here.
What this Journey Looks Like
At Pearster, we're partnering with one of the leading infrastructure companies in the blockchain space to find a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys solving large-scale infrastructure challenges.
This isn't a traditional DevOps role.
You'll design, build, automate, and operate production infrastructure that supports critical blockchain services used by developers and businesses worldwide. Working across Kubernetes, bare-metal environments, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure, you'll help build platforms that are reliable, scalable, and ready for the next stage of growth.
We're partnering with a fast-growing technology company that builds the infrastructure behind some of the world's most innovative blockchain applications. Their mission is to make decentralized technologies accessible by delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure used by developers and businesses worldwide.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain production infrastructure across hybrid environments, including bare metal, virtualization, containers, and cloud platforms.
Build and operate large-scale Kubernetes environments supporting mission-critical services.
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Consul.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational workflows to improve reliability and efficiency.
Research, evaluate, and implement new infrastructure technologies and proof-of-concepts.
Collaborate with Platform, CloudOps, and Technical Operations teams to improve scalability, observability, and deployment processes.
Optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and cost across distributed environments.
Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot production infrastructure when needed.
Contribute to infrastructure documentation, standards, and architecture decisions.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
Strong production experience operating Kubernetes environments.
Deep Linux/Unix systems administration experience.
Experience designing and managing hybrid infrastructure across cloud and traditional environments.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Grafana, ELK, VictoriaMetrics, or Datadog.
Programming or scripting experience using Python, Go, JavaScript, or similar languages.
Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, containers, scalability, redundancy, and infrastructure architecture.
Nice to Have
Bare-metal infrastructure experience.
Web3 or blockchain infrastructure experience.
Experience working in high-scale distributed systems.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first few months, you'll:
Become an independent contributor who requires minimal day-to-day supervision.
Take ownership of infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
Join the team's on-call rotation after becoming familiar with the environment.
Help improve infrastructure reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.
Contribute to a fast-moving engineering team that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What Makes Someone Successful Here
We're looking for engineers who:
Take ownership from start to finish.
Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively.
Are proactive and self-driven.
Thrive in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
Enjoy solving infrastructure challenges rather than simply maintaining systems.
Why Join?
Work on infrastructure powering one of the fastest-growing Web3 ecosystems.
Solve complex infrastructure challenges at scale.
Build production systems used by customers around the world.
Collaborate with experienced infrastructure engineers in a highly technical environment.
Enjoy the flexibility of a fully remote team while making a meaningful impact.
